A Bitcoin For Your Time – The World's First Ever Bitcoin Luxury Watch

Horolotech Watch Company, a specialist company that makes high-grade Swiss Chronographs, has made a limited edition luxury watch that comes with the following specifications:
  • Water tested to 10 ATM (100 meters/330 feet)
  • Swiss 25 jewel ETA Valjoux 7750 Automatic Chronograph movement with Perlage & Cote de Geneve finish
  • “BTC” engraved on the rotor
  • Non-glare genuine sapphire glass
  • See-through exhibition sapphire glass back
  • Black Dial w/ white luminous
  • 43mm x 15mm Stainless Steel case
  • Screw down crown
  • Di Modell Croco Grain Strap (black w/white stitching)
  • Mahogany multi-function winder box
  • 3-year warranty
  • Limited Edition - 500 pieces
It won't  help you buy, trade, or mine bitcoin but, if you have bitcoin to burn, it's certainly something to spend it on! And if you're still wondering what makes it a bitcoin watch, well, much like the currency itself, an element of secrecy is involved with the watch's design. In keeping with bitcoin's "crypto" theme, the letters "BTC" are engraved on the rotor, displayed only to those you want to share it with by taking off the watch to reveal the beautiful movement through the transparent exhibition case back.

The watch is available to buy exclusively in bitcoin and costs BTC200 (about US$2,800 at the time of writing), expensive but not so unusual for a high-end/limited edition/collectible watch, and it's delivered in approximately three weeks.

An 18k gold model will be available soon, limited to just 50 pieces and priced at BTC1,000 (currently about an eye-watering US$14,000). I'm hoping a ladies model will be made available too in the near future – not that I can afford it, but there's still around five months to Christmas and it would make the perfect gift if anyone out there is feeling particularly generous.
